About the Role

AECOM is seeking a Digital Consultant to support the growth of a new regional and global digital service. This role involves guiding clients through digital strategies, data analytics, AI adoption, and technology development, providing end-to-end customer support for integrating digital solutions into their business operations. You will collaborate with clients to understand their goals, evaluate digital capabilities, and formulate strategies for measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Guide client organizations through the advisory and implementation of digital strategies, data analytics, AI adoption, technology and product development.
  • Provide comprehensive end-to-end customer support, facilitating the integration of digital solutions into client business operations.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their business goals, evaluate current digital capabilities, and formulate strategies to drive measurable business outcomes through digital methods.
  • Support digital teams and consultancy delivery for key clients, contributing to the expansion of services, including revenue, margin, and net promoter score.
  • Work with leaders from around the world to define and position digital consulting services, share best practices, leverage global capabilities, and support opportunities and projects.
  • Understand client business objectives, challenges, and opportunities, helping them to navigate the digital era.
  • Support the development and building of client relationships through client-facing project work, collaboration workshops, pitches and showcases of digital offerings.
  • Exploit data and technologies to enable clients to coordinate activities and realize value from their assets.
  • Conduct assessments of current digital processes and capabilities across relevant functions and asset classes within client organizations.
  • Identify and prioritize digital initiatives that deliver maximum value and impact.
  • Support the development and implementation of robust Information Management practices to ensure project data is structured, governed, and leveraged effectively across client organizations.
  • Apply effective Change Management principles to guide teams through digital adoption, ensuring smooth transitions and sustained engagement across projects.
  • Support the design and implementation of appropriate information security controls.
  • Provide project management support of consultancy commissions, including cost, risk & schedule.
  • Lead client workshops using known methods (e.g., Design Thinking) and facilitation tools (e.g., Miro).
  • Connect with the Work Winning community and Client Account Managers on consultancy leads and tender opportunities and support wider strategic bids.
  • Support pre-qualification, tender responses, proposals, and case studies.
  • Promote and support the development of digital service offerings internally.
  • Create and showcase case studies and thought leadership.
  • Commoditize consultancy deliverables as repeatable offerings.
  • Feed lessons learned from commissions back into the business to support future growth and opportunities.
  • Support research on digital innovation (new technologies, processes, and start-ups) to identify opportunities.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of digital solutions.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to support delivery of strategic consultancy commissions.
  • Demonstrated ability to combine Asset Management, Project Management, Information Management, and data skills to deliver digital projects in the infrastructure sector.
  • Experience in working with technical and non-technical analytics teams.
  • Experience of influencing non-technical executive stakeholders from around the business.
  • Experience in supporting business development, customer acquisition, and retention.
