About the Role
Take technical ownership of Configuration Experience, the team that builds and manages insurance products, and set the direction for how the team delivers. Spend the bulk of your time hands-on: researching technical solutions, writing RFCs, building PoCs with other teams, and shipping the resulting code yourself. Act as a sparring partner for product managers and stakeholders on key business and technical decisions. Keep delivery on track by planning realistically, following agile principles, and hitting deadlines. Lead people by example by giving feedback, running team meetings, and supporting colleagues' growth, though most of your time remains technical. Spot obstacles early, resolve them, and keep stakeholders proactively informed.

Requirements
- Solid hands-on experience as a software engineer with Node.js and TypeScript
- First experience leading or managing people
- Full-stack understanding across frontend and backend
- Cloud-agnostic mindset
- Solid experience working with AI tools in your engineering workflow
- Clear communicator
- Motivated to grow into building and guiding a team over time
- Insurance or finance experience is a plus
