About the Role
PROPHESEE's event-based vision technology redefines computer vision, offering solutions for autonomous vehicles, industrial automation, robotics, IoT, security, and surveillance. This role involves transforming breakthrough technology into robust software products for PC and embedded platforms, working closely with algorithms, sensors, and real-world systems to solve complex engineering challenges at the intersection of AI, embedded computing, and robotics.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain production-quality C++ and Python software.
- Contribute to software architecture, component decomposition, interfaces, and APIs.
- Integrate internal components, third-party libraries, and hardware-facing interfaces.
- Develop automated tests and support debugging, profiling, and performance optimization.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and software quality practices.
- Support deployment across PC and embedded targets.
- Collaborate with AI, DevOps, and embedded engineers on end-to-end product integration.
Requirements
- Minimum six years of professional software development experience.
- Strong programming experience with maintainable, performant, and production-quality software using modern C++.
- Experience with inter-process communication and memory management/optimization.
- Good development skills in Python for applications, algorithms, tooling, tests, and integration.
- Ability to understand and contribute to modular architecture, APIs, interfaces, and component design.
- Proficiency in software engineering best practices including Git, code reviews, automated testing, debugging, profiling, documentation, and quality practices.
- Familiarity with automated builds, tests, packaging, deployment, and release processes (DevOps/CI-CD).
- Basic knowledge or practical experience with image processing, computer vision, machine learning, or AI-based applications.
- Experience with robotics, autonomous systems, sensors, embedded Linux, or constrained computing platforms.
- Comfort integrating software components, libraries, hardware interfaces, and external technologies into embedded systems (ARM architecture).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Flexibility in dynamic environments and fast-changing technologies.
