About the Role
Maurice Turnor Gardner is seeking exceptional and highly motivated solicitors to join its growing Disputes team, focusing on contentious trusts and probate, and related private wealth litigation. This role offers exposure to market-leading work, direct client contact, and opportunities for professional development within a supportive and collegiate environment.
Responsibilities
- Progressing matters and delivering outstanding client service.
- Working alongside leading practitioners on a broad range of complex and high-value disputes.
- Handling multi-jurisdictional private wealth disputes.
- Handling challenges in relation to the validity or construction of wills and trust deeds.
- Acting for fiduciaries and beneficiaries in relation to breach of trust claims, applications for directions/blessing applications or removal.
- Handling claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 and other succession or inheritance disputes.
- Handling property beneficial ownership / TLATA disputes.
- Participating in business development activities.
- Contributing to the growth and success of the team.
- Assisting partners on larger matters.
- Working on your own caseload.
- Working closely with leading counsel and experts.
Requirements
- Be a qualified solicitor.
- Have experience in private wealth disputes.
- Possess excellent academic credentials.
- Demonstrate strong drafting, analytical, organisational and communication skills.
- Be proactive, collaborative and commercially aware.
- Be used to providing a thoughtful, excellent client service.
- Enjoy working collaboratively and building strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
