About the Role
This role is responsible for the design of select new buildings or expansion projects post-occupancy tenant improvement in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) portfolio. You will oversee the design of post-occupancy tenant improvement projects and small/medium new site projects or expansions, updating, revising, and evolving the design of existing workspaces. The role involves identifying and recommending proactive design solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring design alignment with corporate workplace concepts.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the design of post-occupancy tenant improvement projects and small/medium new site projects and expansions.
- Lead the design of the space based on customer needs and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with an external/vendor design team (the Architect of Record) on projects of a certain size/scale/priority.
- Align the design of each project to the overall concept for Corporate Workplace.
- Inform the Guidelines and Standards team on design elements needed to translate into global functional Guidelines.
- Identify and implement continuous design refinement, leveraging operational data, customer insights, and success metrics.
- Work cross functionally with regional peers to ensure a consistent customer experience while respecting local/cultural nuance.
- Collaborate with GREF partner teams to elevate program deliverables and improve workspace quality with a focus on resiliency, efficiency, health, and safety.
- Connect with external industry, professional bodies and communities to adopt new industry standards, best practices, technology, and innovations.
Requirements
- Experience as a Producer, UX Program Manager, Research Program Manager, or similar role in a user experience or design team.
- Experience in UX research.
- Experience leading large projects through the full product development life cycle in a large, cross-functional team.
- Experience with web-based design tooling and project management software (Jira, Wrike, Workfront, etc.).
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.
- Experience in project and program management.
- Experience in facilities management, or experience in construction or project management.
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
- Experience in written and oral communication, including the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization (technical, business, executive).
- Knowledge of key technology and market trends.
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules.
- Experience identifying, mitigating, and managing business risks and tradeoffs.
- Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Able to build constructive and effective relationships and use them to maneuver through complex situations.
