About the Role
Argus Search is a specialized HR and Finance recruitment consultancy connecting top talent with leading companies in Berlin. We are currently seeking a motivated individual for the role of Tax Assistant / Tax Specialist (gn) on behalf of a client.
Responsibilities
- Independent management of a fixed client base
- Ongoing financial accounting and preparation of VAT returns
- Preparation and/or creation of annual financial statements and income surplus calculations
- Preparation of corporate tax returns
- Review of tax assessments
- Direct point of contact for clients on tax and accounting matters
- Communication with tax authorities and public bodies
- Working with DATEV and digital office processes
- Close collaboration with tax advisors and the office team
Requirements
- Completed training as a tax assistant or further training as a tax specialist
- Professional experience in a tax advisory firm or tax office
- Very good knowledge of financial accounting, annual financial statements, and tax return preparation
- Proficient in DATEV and standard MS Office applications
- Independent, structured, and meticulous work approach
- Strong service orientation and enjoyment of personal client support
- Teamwork skills, reliability, and a high sense of responsibility
- Interest in professional development and personal growth
- Very good German language skills, both written and spoken
