About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AI and Cloud Director to lead and expand our AI, Data, and Cloud practice in the UK. This senior, client-facing role involves translating technology ambitions into measurable business value, combining strategy, solution design, delivery oversight, commercial growth, and practice development. You will leverage expertise in AI, Agentic AI, and cloud architecture to shape our UK market strategy, lead major transformation programs, build client relationships, and develop a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

Define and execute the strategic direction for the UK xTech AI, Data and Cloud Centre of Excellence.
Shape the service portfolio, propositions and reusable assets across AI, data and cloud.
Own the practice's commercial performance, including pipeline, revenue, margin and utilisation.
Align UK priorities with the firm's global AI, data and cloud strategy.
Act as a trusted adviser to C-level clients, translating business priorities into practical AI, data and cloud solutions.
Lead executive workshops, discovery and solution-shaping activities.
Guide the design of enterprise solutions spanning Generative and Agentic AI, retrieval-augmented generation, automation, modern data architectures and cloud platforms.
Lead engagements from proof of value through to production and scale.
Set the technology and architecture direction across AI, data and cloud programmes.
Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, cost-efficient, responsible and production-ready.
Oversee AI adoption, cloud strategy and workload migration roadmaps.
Manage a portfolio of engagements, maintaining accountability for delivery quality, business outcomes, risk, budgets and timelines.
Build, lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of AI engineers, data specialists and cloud architects.
Develop relationships with technology partners such as Anthropic, Microsoft, AWS and Google Cloud.
Lead proposals, pitches, commercial models and thought leadership.
Promote knowledge sharing, professional certification and collaboration across BIP's international network.

Requirements

At least ten years of experience across AI, data and analytics, cloud or technology consulting, including senior leadership responsibility.
A strong track record of delivering large-scale AI, Generative AI, cloud or digital transformation programmes from strategy through to implementation and adoption.
Credibility across both data and AI and cloud architecture, with the ability to set direction and challenge technical teams.
Experience building and scaling a practice or multidisciplinary team, including hiring, mentoring and capability development.
Experience owning a commercial target and growing accounts through proposals, pitches and partner-led opportunities.
A clear understanding of how AI and cloud can create business value, improve decision-making and transform processes, products or customer experiences.
Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills at executive level.
An entrepreneurial and collaborative approach, with the adaptability to work effectively across international and cross-functional teams.
