About the Role

The Global Equities Trading Operations team is a critical middle office trade support group providing operational client service to institutional clients in partnership with the Global Equities front office. This role offers an opportunity to support clients and front office business partners in pursuit of their goals.

Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for client operational staff regarding middle and back office issues.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with client operations teams and RBC sales and trading teams.
Allocate institutional client orders using CTM and FIX.
Process post-trade date corrections and cancel/re-bills.
Resolve failing trades and unmatched trades by working through daily fail and unmatched trade reports.
Monitor settlement exceptions with the back office to ensure timely settlement.
Act as a liaison between P&S, trading, and street-side clearing.
Reconcile and balance average price and trading inventory accounts.
Coordinate the Reg. SHO buy-in process and communicate with the buy-in department and clients.
Coordinate with the new accounts group to open and maintain institutional client sub-accounts.
Monitor and action Corporate Buyback business.
Allocate, instruct, and monitor all Latin America executions.
Undertake special projects as needed.

Requirements

BA/BS or equivalent.
Working knowledge of equities middle and back office processes.
Basic knowledge of Middle Office allocation and confirmation systems.
Knowledge of Broadridge back office platform is a plus.
Knowledge of DTCC ITP product line (CTM, ALERT, TradeSuite) is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills for effective and professional interactions.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills.
High level of organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to act in a time-sensitive manner with a strong sense of urgency.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to liaise with other areas of the Bank and develop strong inter-departmental relationships.
