About the Role

nbn is seeking to attract more Women and First Nations individuals to join our ACCOM award-winning Customer Field Technician Traineeship Program. Our aim is to promote the right capability, increase cultural equality, and enhance the diversity of our operations teams, for the benefit of our workforce, customers, and communities. Our Field Service teams are nbn’s professional, trusted, and essential customer-facing workforce. Our Trainee Customer Field Technicians are an integral part of these teams, learning, developing, and building skills as they turn their passion into practice every day. They contribute to something important and lasting - a network that spans our country, bringing unlimited possibilities to Australian homes and businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the field helping to connect customers to the internet
  • Be employed on a permanent full-time basis with leave entitlements
  • Work towards a Cert III in Telecommunications Technology over the 12-month traineeship
  • Be supported by experts in the field to complete your traineeship, learning how to be a Customer Field Technician
  • Work in the network performing inspections or maintenance
  • Diagnose and resolve faults
  • Provide the best service
  • Connect more homes and businesses to high-speed fibre
