About the Role
This is a hands-on commercial role supporting an international business across media, production, advertising, and PR. The position involves independently drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial, production, and IP-related agreements. It suits a commercially minded lawyer comfortable working directly with business teams, managing negotiations, and providing practical legal advice in a fast-paced international environment. This is a strong opportunity for a lawyer seeking significant exposure to international media, production, advertising, and commercial work within a growing global group.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate production services and production execution agreements.
- Draft and negotiate talent, influencer, and contributor agreements.
- Advise on IP ownership, assignments, licenses, usage rights, and related commercial terms.
- Review and negotiate promotional, sponsorship, advertising, and campaign agreements.
- Draft and negotiate Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and associated commercial documentation.
- Advise internal teams on contractual risk and provide practical, commercially focused solutions.
- Support production and account teams on contractual requirements, rights, clearances, and approvals.
- Work with stakeholders and counterparties across different jurisdictions to progress negotiations and agreements through to execution.
- Maintain appropriate contractual standards across the Group and support the continued development of templates and legal processes.
- Coordinate with external counsel where specialist or jurisdiction-specific advice is required.
Requirements
- Commercially minded, confident working independently, and able to balance legal risk with the practical needs of the business.
- Comfortable managing multiple agreements and negotiations simultaneously.
- Able to communicate clearly with both legal and non-legal stakeholders.
- LLB from a UK law school, or an LLB from a Greek or Cypriot law school together with an LLM taught and examined in English, preferably from a UK institution.
- Qualified and admitted to practice in Greece, Cyprus, England & Wales or another comparable jurisdiction.
- Demonstrable experience independently drafting and negotiating contracts, particularly production agreements, talent and influencer agreements, IP assignments and licenses, promotional and sponsorship agreements, campaign contracts and MSAs/SOWs.
- Fluent English with a high standard of legal and commercial drafting.
- Comfortable working across jurisdictions and supporting an international business.
- LLM specializing in IP, Media & Entertainment Law or commercial contracts (Desirable).
- Near-native written English (Desirable).
- Greek language skills (Desirable).
- Previous in-house experience within the media, advertising, production, or creative industries (Desirable).
