About the Role
Lead the end-to-end technology development for defined HR Value Streams/Journeys within Global HR Technology. Partner with HR Journey Owners to develop a technology roadmap that maximizes investment in Workday, ServiceNow, and other supporting platforms. Act as a key liaison with the HR Colleague Experience Team to support the transition to an Agile Value/Journey aligned delivery model. This role reports locally to the HR CIO and has a matrix line into the Global Workday Platform Owner, leading a global pool of resources on a matrix basis.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve software utilizing various engineering methodologies to provide business, platform, and technology capabilities.
- Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools, ensuring code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration with business objectives.
- Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, contributing to technology communities to foster technical excellence and growth.
- Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
- Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
- Contribute to or set strategy, drive requirements, and make recommendations for change.
- Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies/processes; deliver continuous improvements and escalate breaches of policies/procedures.
- Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management, on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
- Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
- Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls related to team activities.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of organizational functions to contribute to business goals.
- Collaborate with other work areas and business-aligned support areas to stay updated on business activity and strategies.

Requirements
- Experience in training and implementation of changes within Workday.
- Extensive knowledge of business processes of Workday modules across Core HR.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Workday Core (core components of the system).
- Experience using Workday HCM (employee lifecycle).
