About the Role
Design, develop, and evolve trading, risk management, and other platforms within the investment banking domain to facilitate trading and regulatory objectives.
Responsibilities
- Design, development, and maintenance of high-performance trading platforms, risk systems, and applications.
- Collaborate with traders, strategists, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
- Implement new features, enhancements, and functionalities on trading platforms.
- Stay updated on technological advancements, industry trends, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address system issues and implement solutions.
- Advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
- Lead a team performing complex tasks, setting objectives, and coaching employees.
- Lead collaborative assignments and guide team members through structured assignments.
- Identify new directions for assignments and/or projects.
- Consult on complex issues and provide advice to People Leaders.
- Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures.
- Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls.
- Perform work that requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with other areas of work to stay updated on business activity and strategy.
- Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources to solve problems creatively.
- Communicate complex information, including sensitive or difficult-to-communicate content.
- Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
- Create client-facing content to showcase strategy analysis and performance.
- Play an important role in the marketing of Equity Derivatives Quantitative Investment Strategies across the EMEA region.
Requirements
- Professional experience working with Equity Derivatives products ideally QIS origination and structuring.
- Experience in understanding Financial Models and Product Indices.
- Knowledge of the EMEA equity derivatives market landscape and competitive environment.
- Understanding of regulatory developments impacting derivatives markets.
- May require mandatory regulatory qualifications or minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.
