About the Role
As an Equipment Technician at Samsung Austin Semiconductor, you will perform functions associated with manufacturing and system operations, including set-up, calibration, system support, preventative maintenance, failure analysis, and rework/quality testing for memory chips and logic. You will use sophisticated programs to evaluate operating data and make in-line adjustments to processes and equipment, and may assist in developing methods to control or modify the manufacturing process. This role requires compliance with all health, safety, and environmental management system guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Execute scheduled and corrective maintenance according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Respond to equipment faults and conduct root-cause analysis.
- Analyze data and verify quality metrics.
- Maintain accurate, timely records of work, and communicate equipment status during shifts.
- Operate safely in a cleanroom environment using a cleanroom suit.
- Carry out maintenance tasks while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
Requirements
- 2-year technical degree or equivalent military experience with a focus on electronics (e.g., Avionics, Navy nuclear), or 3+ years semiconductor or high-volume manufacturing.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Fast learner who adapts to new systems and procedural change.
- Electronic and mechanical troubleshooting capabilities.
- Knowledge of hand tools, pneumatics, and electricity.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, planning, and action plan execution.
- Ability to lift and move equipment/ supplies up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable standing/walking for 10+ hrs. daily.

Skills
- 300mm Cleans (Wet Etch) experience
- Maintenance experience with DNS (single wafer and batch), SEMES (single wafer), TEL CERTAS/LEAGA, TEL NS300, TEL Cellesta I, FSI Antares, and LAM C360 equipment models.
