About the Role
As a Cleans TR on the Leviathan team, you will lead a high-performance team of equipment engineers responsible for SEMES tools and FOUP Washers. These tools are critical for wafer cleaning across virtually every factory layer, offering significant visibility into complex issues. You will manage daily engineering operations and drive long-term projects focused on cost reduction and continuous improvement, serving as the primary liaison between Cleans, SEMES, and other cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Supervising 6-10 equipment engineers, providing coaching, performance reviews, and growth plans.
- Fostering a collaborative culture and championing Lean/TPS/6S practices.
- Overseeing the full equipment lifecycle for fab equipment, from qualification to de-commission.
- Managing Change-Point Management (CPM) activities, daily equipment status reviews, and qualification matrix updates.
- Reviewing pass-downs, WIP, and work request queues each shift.
- Prioritizing equipment repairs, parts orders, and qualification.
- Supervising PTP/WR tickets for non-urgent work.
- Driving quality initiatives within the team.
- Adopting/Strategizing new projects to improve cost/quality/throughput.
- Using Python, VBA, Spotfire, or JMP to analyze equipment data, spot trends, and recommend adjustments.
- Partnering with SEMES, other vendors, Fab Engineering, Maintenance, and other support groups to resolve difficult equipment problems.
- Owning capital projects for new or upgraded equipment, including cost justification, schedule coordination, and budget tracking.
- Leading cross-functional TFTs focused on Stop-Loss, BM reduction, and quality improvements.
- Ensuring all work follows SAS fab protocols (clean-room attire, PPE, ability to lift ≤ 35 lb).
- Keeping equipment certifications current and maintaining audit readiness.
Requirements
- BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or Computer Science
- 5+ years semiconductor equipment engineering experience
- 2+ years of direct supervisory or lead experience
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and qualifying fab tools
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, VBA) and/or data-analysis tools (Spotfire, JMP, Matlab, SQL)
- Strong grasp of statistical methods, Change-Point Management, and structured problem solving
