About the Role

Join Capital One as a Full-stack Software Engineer, focusing on People Tech and leveraging cutting-edge open-source frameworks and emerging technologies like GenAI and Agentic Systems (LangChain, LangGraph). You will be at the forefront of driving a major transformation across Capital One, innovating and transforming the Human Experience by providing robust technical solutions for HR, Legal, Brand, and Global Workplace Services.

Responsibilities

Architect LLM-driven capabilities and HRTech innovations to build enterprise-scale systems for optimizing HR processes and enhancing the global associate experience.
Design, build, and deploy autonomous agentic AI solutions and multi-agent workflows to automate complex HR capabilities.
Partner with security, governance, and risk teams to ensure secure, compliant, and well-managed AI-enabled capabilities and agentic workflows.
Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers in creating solutions that meet regulatory needs.
Share passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with new technologies, and participating in technology communities.
Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions for global associate experiences.
Utilize programming languages like Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript and TypeScript, Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and AWS tools.
Provide technical leadership and direction across Agile teams, setting standards for design, development, and operational excellence for AI-enabled full stack applications.
Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, AI agent execution environments, and reusable frameworks.
Proactively identify areas for improvement, implementing refactoring and contributing to efforts that reduce technical debt and enhance system performance.
Influence long-term technology strategy through evaluation of emerging tools and practices in a 'you build it, you own it' environment.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
At least 4 years of experience in software engineering.
At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
