About the Role
Nabla is seeking a designer to join their team, focusing on creating high-impact tools that delight clinicians and solve their most pressing pain points. The design team is responsible for discovering user needs, crafting seamless experiences, iterating on feedback, and maintaining a scalable design system. Nabla's AI assistant automates administrative tasks for medical staff, allowing them to focus on patient care.
Responsibilities
- Thrive in a rapid-iteration environment, shipping high-quality work quickly, and keeping feedback loops tight between design and engineering.
- Lead the end-to-end design process, from ideation to execution, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Meet users during on-sites to gather feedback and test ideas.
- Partner with product managers to discover and validate opportunities with customers, define requirements, and translate research insights into impactful, well-crafted designs.
- Work with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver cohesive, user-centric products.
- Advocate for user needs throughout the product lifecycle and contribute to strategic decision-making at both the product and executive levels.
- Structure, maintain, and evolve Nabla's internal design system, ensuring consistency and scalability in design practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing product experiences at a tech or product-driven company.
- A strong portfolio showcasing user-centric solutions that make complex business logic easy to use for the end user.
- Experience designing for both web and mobile, with a strong understanding of responsive behavior and platform constraints.
- Fluency in Figma.
- Curiosity for new design/protoyping tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Paper, etc.).
- A doer mindset: ready to jump in, iterate fast, and ship.
- Proven ability to communicate design decisions clearly, from concept to implementation, across multidisciplinary teams.
- Solid visual design skills, with a strong sense of craft: sweat the details and take pride in shipping polished, refined interfaces.
