About the Role
The Learning Experience - Hudson Yards is seeking a nurturing and dependable Infant Assistant Teacher to join their early childhood education team. This role involves working alongside experienced teachers to provide responsive care and create a warm environment where infants feel safe, secure, and supported.
Responsibilities
- Support daily routines in an Infant classroom
- Assist with feeding, diapering, sleep, and individualized care routines
- Engage infants through sensory play, movement, music, and language
- Support early developmental milestones
- Provide attentive supervision and responsive care
- Maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing classroom
- Build positive relationships with children and families
- Collaborate with Lead Teachers and center leadership
- Follow applicable New York City childcare requirements
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous childcare or experience working with infants preferred
- Professional daycare or early childhood experience is a plus
- Patient, nurturing, reliable, and team-oriented
- Must meet applicable New York City childcare requirements
