About the Role
This role is responsible for maintaining compliance with national regulators and government agencies, overseeing contracts and funding, and maintaining registration with the Australian Skills and Quality Authority (ASQA). The position also involves supporting RTO staff through guidance and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and monitor systems, policies, and procedures for compliance and quality, and manage risks.
- Engage with the national regulator, government departments, and colleagues to ensure alignment and compliance with quality frameworks.
- Ensure the evaluation and suitability of RTO activities, compiling reports and recommendations for improvements and compliance.
- Ensure RTO staff and trainers receive appropriate professional development for compliance and high-quality teaching.
- Manage and guide the Quality Team to meet RTO aims, objectives, and expectations.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in a senior RTO management role within the Vocational Education & Training sector.
- Strong compliance and quality background.
- Solid understanding of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) Quality Framework.
- At least 5 years of experience in a vocational education and training compliance role.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge across a number of functional VET areas.
- Demonstrated experience in engaging with and managing the expectations of stakeholder groups at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and support cross-functional working groups and manage projects.
- Proven experience in a range of communication mediums and information technology including Student Management and Learning Management Systems.
- Successful completion of a Working with Children Check (for child-facing roles).
- Mandatory Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
