About the Role
ServiceMaster by GBS is seeking a Crew Chief / Field Leader with a strong work ethic, common sense, accountability, leadership potential, and the ability to learn quickly. This role offers an opportunity to leverage existing hands-on skills into a leadership career in restoration and reconstruction, with comprehensive training provided.
Responsibilities
- Lead and work alongside a restoration crew.
- Take ownership of assigned job sites.
- Perform hands-on restoration, demolition, and reconstruction work.
- Learn water mitigation, fire restoration, mold remediation, and reconstruction.
- Keep jobs moving efficiently and maintain high-quality work.
- Communicate with customers, project managers, and team members.
- Identify problems and take initiative to solve them.
- Keep the job site clean, organized, and professional.
- Document work and communicate job progress.
- Participate in emergency response and on-call duties.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in construction, plumbing, sprinklers, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, maintenance, or another trade.
- Strong work ethic.
- Common sense and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and take direction.
- Ability to take ownership and make decisions in the field.
- Reliability and accountability.
- Willingness to lead by example.
- Pride in work.
- Desire to learn and build a long-term career.
- Must participate in an on-call rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
