About the Role
Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is looking for a customer-focused Surgery Scheduler to join their team. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients, providing support to providers by scheduling surgical procedures and meetings while helping create exceptional patient care. This position also provides leadership to Surgery Schedulers I and II and contributes to work on pilots and projects, preparing analyses, and patient care coordination.
Responsibilities
- Schedule surgical procedures, testing, and pre-op appointments.
- Obtain insurance authorizations and oversee the management of consent forms for surgical procedures.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
- Oversee Provider schedule templates and input monthly schedules.
- Collect payments and support accurate billing processes.
- Assist with patient communications, paperwork, and MyChart support.
- Maintain patient records and support day-to-day office operations.
- Gather data and analyze scheduling efficiencies.
- Perform enhanced recovery and/or Surgical Home Coordination.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Surgery Scheduler.
