About the Role
Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and assist employees and visitors with professionalism. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or guests at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, exterior grounds, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and report unusual activity or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions taken through required reports and communication channels.
- Support a professional workplace environment by maintaining awareness of activity throughout the location and assisting with security-related requests as directed.
Requirements
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A Guard Card or license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
