About the Role
Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a Dishwasher to maintain china/dishes, pots, pans, kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. This role is crucial for ensuring guest satisfaction and operational efficiency at our Windrose on Hudson property.
Responsibilities
- Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or by machine.
- Wash pots, pans, and trays according to assigned procedures, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
- Polish silver using appropriate equipment and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, including the use of cut gloves when handling knives.
- Maintain and track temperatures and chemical levels, reporting any deviations to the supervisor.
- Clean and maintain the dish area, including mats and walkways, in an orderly manner.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors at appropriate intervals.
- Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces.
- Segregate and remove trash and garbage, and clean garbage cans.
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, observing safe lifting standards.
- Assist with loading or unloading supplies and product as needed.
- Perform other assigned duties.
- Be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
