About the Role
The Waldorf Astoria New York is seeking an Assistant Director of Security to oversee safety and security operations, ensuring OSHA compliance, promoting safe work practices, and managing department systems, budgets, and policies. This role involves leading safety training programs, directing security patrols, supporting investigations, and responding to emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director in overseeing all safety and security functions, including ensuring OSHA compliance, promoting safe work practices, and managing department systems, budgets, and policies.
- Assist in leading the coordination and administration of safety training programs, including CPR, fire and life safety, workplace violence prevention, and driver training.
- Assist in directing security patrols of the hotel premises to identify and address safety risks, security threats, and undesirable conditions.
- Assist in leading inquiries into accidents, thefts, property loss, and unlawful activities.
- Assist in leading responses to emergencies, including fires, medical incidents, and security threats.
- Act as a key contact for federal, state, and local authorities on security-related matters.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor team members; conduct performance evaluations, provide professional development opportunities, and recognize achievements to build a motivated and high-performing team.
