About the Role
ISS is a global leader in workplace experience and facility management, supporting healthcare environments where quality, safety, and care truly matter. Our ISS Health Team is growing, and we are currently seeking Hospital Cleaners at St George Hospital, Kogarah.
Responsibilities
- Safe handling of chemical and/or hazardous substances in the performance of cleaning duties
- Decontamination of surfaces after the initial clinical waste spillage has been removed by clinical staff
- Identifying and recording any problems relating to cleaning services and/or safety
- Provide cleaning services in both patient and non-patient areas, adhering to infection control procedures, conducting waste removal, and undertaking infectious cleaning in designated areas
Requirements
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and drive to deliver strong customer service
- Ability to work Monday to Friday shifts between 6am and 2pm
- Ability to undertake a functional pre-employment medical assessment
- Police Clearance, or ability to obtain, is essential
- Working with Children Check, or ability to obtain, is essential
- Evidence of immunisation for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Pertussis, Diphtheria, Hep B, Polio or willingness to obtain, as per NSW Health Worker policy is essential
