About the Role

As a Legal & Compliance Intern, you will support contracts, regulatory research, policy development, and compliance reviews, focusing on financial services regulation, data privacy, AI, and marketing compliance. Gain hands-on exposure to legal risk and compliance obligations in a fast-moving fintech environment.

Responsibilities

Support contract drafting and review.
Conduct regulatory research.
Help develop and update policies, including privacy notices and AI governance frameworks.
Assist with compliance reviews and cross-functional projects.
Support data privacy assessments (e.g., CCPA/CPRA).
Assist with AI and machine-learning governance reviews.
Assist with marketing and advertising compliance reviews (e.g., TCPA, CAN-SPAM, UDAAP, claims substantiation).

Requirements

Currently in Law School with an interest in financial services, regulatory, data privacy, artificial intelligence, or marketing and advertising law.
Coursework, clinic, or project experience touching financial services regulation, data privacy law, AI or emerging-technology regulation, or advertising and marketing law.
Completed at least one previous internship or clerkship, or have built substantial personal or academic projects.
Available to work in our New York City office at least 3-4 days a week throughout the entire program.

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
