About the Role
Flying Bark Productions is seeking talented 2D Animators for upcoming productions, including projects with Disney and Netflix, and an upcoming feature film. This is an Expression of Interest to scout talent for roles opening in early 2027.
Responsibilities
- Produce frame-by-frame or rigged animation that meets creative standards.
- Meet production quotas as briefed by the Production crew.
- Complete creative revisions as requested by the Animation Director and Supervisors.
- Adhere to project workflow structures and complete technical tasks.
- Ensure correct labelling of layers, clean node structuring, and submission of timing charts.
- Work cohesively within a team environment with high levels of communication.
- Adhere to administrative tools for tracking workflow, input, and delivery of shots.
- Communicate effectively and flag potential issues impacting timely delivery.
- Ensure all work remains confidential.
Requirements
- Good sense of narrative storytelling, comic timing, and camera.
- Solid experience with character animation, including lip sync and key posing in a 2D environment.
- Solid experience and understanding of Toon Boom Harmony in a production environment.
- Solid knowledge of 2D animation workflows and storyboard interpretation.
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to share information.
- Passion for animation and storytelling.
- Ability to create economical and dynamic movement, maintaining continuity and referencing storyboards.
- Ability to push performance and energy in every scene.
- Excellent ability to create on-model, clean key frames and tight in-betweens.
- Good knowledge of current 2D animation techniques.
- Ability to work in a team and follow guidance from supervisors.
- Ability to maintain consistent productivity while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Ability to take and interpret creative briefs.
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
- Ability to be adaptable, flexible, and responsive to changes.
