About the Role
Vox Media is seeking a Senior Recruiter to manage full-cycle hiring for editorial, podcast, revenue, and operations roles. This role is ideal for an experienced recruiter who can act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and enjoys connecting talented individuals with opportunities in a dynamic media environment. Candidates should be fans of Vox Media's brands.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting, including intake, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer, and close, for editorial, podcast/audio, revenue, and operations roles.
- Partner with hiring managers and senior leaders to define role requirements, develop hiring plans, and provide strategic advice throughout the recruitment process.
- Build and maintain diverse talent pipelines through proactive sourcing, referrals, and passive candidate outreach.
- Deliver a high-touch candidate experience that enhances Vox Media's reputation.
- Structure and execute consistent, bias-aware interview processes, including creating job scorecards and coaching interviewers.
- Manage multiple concurrent searches with competing deadlines, ensuring alignment among hiring managers and candidates.
- Develop offer strategies and negotiate in collaboration with People leadership, balancing candidate expectations with internal equity and compensation guidelines.
- Track and report on recruitment metrics such as pipeline health and time-to-fill, using data to identify risks and recommend adjustments.
- Stay informed about the media, journalism, and podcasting talent landscape to provide market insights to hiring teams.
Requirements
- 6+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a strong preference for in-house experience.
- Proven track record of successfully closing candidates.
- Experience recruiting for editorial, creative, and audio/podcast talent.
- Strong sourcing skills to proactively identify and engage candidates.
- Proficiency in stakeholder management, including advising and constructively challenging hiring managers and senior leaders.
- Experience designing equitable hiring processes from initial outreach to final offer.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage a high volume of varied recruitment tasks.
- Comfort managing an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and contributing to recruiting process development.
- Clear, warm, and timely communication skills to represent Vox Media effectively.
