Responsibilities
- Scope, design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and large-scale systems for money movement.
- Design next-generation Stripe products to meet high growth needs.
- Analyze product requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Review API launches and library shapes for quality and compatibility.
- Represent the team in technical meetings and understand system interactions.
- Mentor early-career engineers.
- Construct core engineering tenets and design principles for team projects.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics, Data Analytics, Engineering or a related field, plus 5 years of related work experience in data science or quantitative modeling.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics, Data Analytics, Engineering or a related field, plus 7 years of related work experience in data science or quantitative modeling, with at least 5 years post-bachelor’s progressive experience.
- 4 years of experience in SQL.
- 4 years of experience in programming languages including Python or R.
- 4 years of experience developing models, tuning thresholds, and deploying models in production.
- 4 years of experience translating complex data analysis into actionable business outcomes.
- 4 years of experience writing or contributing to product strategy, roadmap, or technical design documents.
- 3 years of experience designing and analyzing production experiments.
