About the Role
As an Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will help manage visitor access, verify credentials, monitor entry points, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and guests. You will use technology to document activity, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or clients while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain entry records, and direct authorized individuals according to site requirements.
- Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned building areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions or unauthorized access.
- Support a professional commercial real estate environment by reporting maintenance concerns, policy violations, and other security-related issues to site leadership.
Requirements
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
