About the Role
The Service Tech is responsible for performing repairs and electrical testing on the Spectrum Infusion Pump, ensuring the highest quality standards. This role involves following documented procedures, documenting findings, and potentially assisting with packaging, repair, or testing as needed.
Responsibilities
- Follow defined Quality Management Systems and written procedures.
- Review maintenance records and complete all documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Adhere to all environmental, health, and safety standard operating procedures and policies.
- Maintain a continuous flow on the Servicing line to achieve process yield results.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Use various hand tools, fixtures, and gauges.
- Conduct tests, measure devices, and calculate data using machinery and equipment to verify adherence to specifications.
- Use judgment from established procedures and device readings to continue the service or testing process.
- Escalate issues as needed.
- Prepare devices for shipment by assembling boxes and shipping materials.
- Receive incoming devices for repair.
- Use chemical solutions to disinfect and sanitize devices, production equipment, or the work environment.
- Rotate to other areas such as assembly, repair, packaging, spare parts, and test operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience with electro-mechanical assembly, repair, or testing in an FDA-regulated environment is preferred.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Good written and verbal communication skills (English).
- Ability to follow written instructions.
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new systems, enter data, and toggle between applications.
- Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team.
- Perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision, including required documentation.
- Ability to document data accurately, following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Good judgment, positive attitude, and a high level of initiative.
- Ability to manually perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Basic knowledge of using various tools such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, hipot tester, pressure gauges, screwdrivers, and torque drivers.
- Must be able to sit and stand for long periods with frequent walking, bending, stretching, grasping, and using gross and fine motor manipulation.
- Ability to lift at least 30 lbs, and up to 42 lbs if working in packaging/shipment.
- Ability to use material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jack or walkie stacker).
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines.
- Must wear a static protective smock and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in designated work areas.
- Ability to work in close proximity to other employees.
- Ability to work in a temperature and humidity-controlled environment.
