About the Role

Manage and develop a team of Product Managers responsible for a portfolio of strategic immediate payment solutions including Instant Payments (Real Time Payments and FedNow), Intelligent Payment Routing, ePayments, Direct-to-Debit Card Payments and Zelle Disbursements. Define and execute the immediate payments product strategy and multi-year roadmap, driving product strategy, client adoption, usage, and financial outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains the product strategy plan for the Immediate Payments product line, including competitive position, growth strategies, financial and performance metrics, and product roadmap, aligning with key partners.
  • Champions product improvements, including appropriate business justification and prioritization, and collaborates with product development and operations to define scope and requirements for new initiatives.
  • Manages product financials, including budgeting and forecasting of revenue growth and direct expenses, providing periodic financial updates and insights.
  • Partners closely with Operations, Sales, Servicing, Implementation, Risk, and Compliance partners to ensure a positive end-to-end client experience.
  • Partners closely with Go-to-Market teams to develop and maintain marketing, collateral, and communication materials, educating partners on product capabilities and enhancements.
  • Participates in industry groups and meets with Federal Reserve representatives to ensure active engagement in industry discussions and changes.
  • Actively contributes thought leadership to clients and prospects through articles, conferences, and other forums.
  • Engages bi-directionally with various standards forums as required to influence positive industry change.
  • Collaborates with other PNC lines of business on enterprise immediate payments initiatives.
  • Responsible for the end-to-end business and financial results for multiple product sets, utilizing technology, operations, and data analytics to offer customers a differentiated product experience.
  • Uses knowledge of emerging technologies to deliver product to customers through all applicable channels.
  • Presents initiatives to gain senior management buy-in and manages progress to ensure initiatives are completed on time, within budget, and meet strategic goals.
  • Influences product and customer experience trends by monitoring competitors and peer organizations.
  • Leads teams responsible for translating concepts into new or improved products, product lines, or experiences.
  • Recognizes, anticipates, and resolves complex operational and process problems.
  • Evaluates potential product or experience development projects for feasibility and value.
  • Ensures successful outcomes from key stakeholders including sales, marketing, digital channel delivery, and other internal service partners.
  • Participates in client-facing and external stakeholder activities throughout the product or experience lifecycle.
  • Adheres to company-defined risk appetite as part of the first line of defense.
  • Serves as point of review and sign off for risk management, compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Manages, motivates, and develops one or multiple product lines and managers, including the performance evaluation process.
  • Identifies talent gaps in the team and staffs appropriately.
  • Cultivates diverse teams and inclusive workplaces.

Requirements

  • Extensive Immediate Payments product management experience including instant payments, intelligent payment routing, B2C payee choice solutions, direct-to-debit card and Zelle disbursements.
  • Knowledge of other non-U.S. domestic wire systems helpful.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with product development, operations, sales, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to define, prioritize, and execute product work across multiple platforms and initiatives.
  • Strong communication and influence skills with the ability to drive alignment across business and development/technology stakeholders.
  • Experience operating and presenting at a strategic level while maintaining accountability for execution.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience presenting at industry conferences and with senior-level corporate decision makers.
  • University/college degree required.
  • 8+ years of industry experience.
  • At least 5 years of prior management experience required.
  • Comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered in lieu of a degree.
