About the Role

The Graphic Designer will transform concepts and ideas into compelling visual representations for both print and electronic media. This role requires expert knowledge of current design software and proficiency in the entire design process, from concept to final deliverable. The position involves collaboration with multiple teams, converting written or spoken ideas into impactful designs, and understanding branding and marketing to establish the right style and layout for each project.

Responsibilities

  • Visualize and develop innovative graphic designs using software like Adobe Creative Suite and Canva to meet business goals.
  • Obtain input from managers to ensure designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations.
  • Work independently and cooperatively with the marketing team to meet deadlines, stay within budget, and schedule project implementation.
  • Examine existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions to improve design capabilities.
  • Update and maintain internal databases for designs, photography, and video.
  • Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with multiple teams or clients on various materials including web pages, presentations, collateral, signage, and marketing materials.
  • Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within established brand identity.
  • Develop concepts and execute original content by determining ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout.
  • Manage the design and uploading process for all project materials using a content management system.
  • Utilize trend intelligence and knowledge of historical and current markets in design execution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience (academic and professional) with design software, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver.
  • Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Desire to continue building skill set with education and training.
  • Ability to sit and work at a desk for extended periods of time, using a computer and other office equipment.
  • Ability to perform fine motor tasks, such as typing or using a mouse, for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to pass a standard background check upon offer of position.
  • At least 2 professional references are required.
