About the Role
The Merchandising Specialist will maintain a well-stocked, organized, and clean sales floor, complete sales preparations, greet customers, and ensure the retail showroom is professional and inviting. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers on the sales floor and assist them with locating merchandise or direct them to a parts specialist.
- Check in, price, and stock merchandise.
- Ensure merchandise displays are fronted, full, and maintain the O’Reilly Image Maker standards.
- Change displays according to company guidelines, update planograms, complete price label changes, and ensure sale signs are correctly placed.
- Remove sale materials and restore original pricing after sales conclude.
- Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
- Collaborate with the manager to complete weekly inventory and merchandising tasks.
- Serve as a cashier or drive a delivery vehicle when business needs require.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to clearly read, write, and match numbers and letters from various sources.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Previous stocking experience is desired.
- Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle is desired.
- Fluency in multiple languages is desired (Spanish highly desired).
- A valid driving record that meets company eligibility requirements is required if driving a delivery vehicle.
