Responsibilities
- Engineering of assigned area of glass fabrication
- Manage process related tooling in preparation for each production run
- Trouble-shoot line operations
- Issue and revise drawing and process sheets as a result of continuous improvement in the process
- Develop and implement continuous improvement in capability and/or scrap reduction
- Verify conformance of components to customer specifications
- Analyze weekly production results, identify deficiencies and implement necessary improvements
- Work with operators to reduce defects, increase throughput and improve product dimensional capability
- Train operators on safe and effective operation of plant equipment and machinery
Requirements
- Experience with manufacturing equipment or assembly lines
- Solid understanding of Six Sigma, SPC, 5 Why, Pareto and other tools to improve and sustain production levels
- Proven understanding of tools, product quality, and ability to implement improvements to operations
- Ability to work beyond traditional 40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays, as workload dictates

Experience Level
- 3+ years in a Manufacturing Environment preferred
- PLC experience preferred
Education Level
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing or Electrical) or any equivalent technical degree or applicable years of automotive glass processing experience
- Six Sigma certified is preferred
