About the Role
USESI is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Driver to join their team in Poughkeepsie, NY. This role is crucial for ensuring timely and safe deliveries, contributing to the company's reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities
- Make all deliveries in a safe, professional, and courteous manner.
- Check vehicles for safety and proper maintenance daily, including ensuring proper loading and completion of driver logs.
- Comply with all D.O.T. regulations and complete all required company and D.O.T. paperwork.
- Advise dispatcher of problems or delays during delivery runs.
- Complete all delivery documentation, including logs, customer signatures, and out-of-state mileage logs.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage.
- Advise management of problems or delays during delivery routes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Will be required to obtain a current DOT medical card.
- Must be strongly independent.
- Must be able to communicate with all levels of customers, providing excellent customer service.
