About the Role
Lead the delivery of accurate financial reporting, strong governance, and effective accounting operations across Australia and New Zealand, while partnering with regional and global stakeholders to support business performance and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting, including month-end, quarterly, year-end and statutory accounts.
- Lead the preparation and delivery of tax reporting including income tax, transfer pricing, GST and withholding tax.
- Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, journal reviews and financial controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage cash flow, forecasting and liquidity in line with business needs and company policy.
- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Leasing routines and day-to-day accounting operations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax obligations, statutory requirements and internal policies including working with auditors and external tax advisers.
- Lead, develop and support the Finance team while partnering closely with the Shared Service Centre.
- Provide financial insights, risk management and commercial support to inform business decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, audit activities, process enhancements and business continuity planning.
Requirements
- 5+ years' Finance or Accounting Manager experience within a large, high-volume Retail or FMCG business.
- Demonstrated people leadership skills with the ability to partner across multiple business functions.
- Leads from the front with a hands-on approach, building team capability while remaining actively involved in day-to-day operations when needed.
- Highly organised with strong time management skills, able to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
