About the Role
Plaid's Consumer team owns all of Plaid’s consumer facing surfaces, including Link, Plaid’s flagship product, and is building out Plaid’s first B2C product. Both areas are top business priorities.
Responsibilities
- Own everything related to the consumer identity on Plaid, including user authentication (UX and risk models).
- Launch a surface for users to manage their connections and permissioning with various applications.
- Lead company-wide workstreams around establishing a first party relationship with consumers.
- Develop a roadmap for creating a deeper and richer network of consumer profiles on Plaid.
- Define the roadmap for sign up for quarterly / half year goals and partner with cross-functional teams to achieve them.
- Drive prioritization and execution, including build, measure, and iterate.
- Identify opportunities through consumer feedback and by staying close to data and dashboards.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (design, research, data science, ML, legal, and compliance) to achieve objectives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of building product at consumer-facing companies.
- Experience evolving a company’s user authentication stack from simple to complex, with knowledge of key product decisions and tradeoffs.
- Proven track record of launching changes that have driven meaningful outcomes at B2C companies.
- Significant experience with growth-adjacent work, involving UX and ML changes.
- Successfully led workstreams that involved aligning large groups of stakeholders.
- Thrive in a culture of high ownership, velocity, and throughput, and speak your mind regardless of level.
- Track record of scrappily developing clear perspectives in areas of ambiguity.
- Strong opinion on both UX and data.
