About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our growing New York team!
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial equipment, including dishwashing machines, sanitizers, trash compactors, and glass crushers.
- Wash and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators, butcher blocks, and other food-preparation surfaces as assigned.
- Transfer supplies and equipment safely between storage and work areas while following proper lifting procedures.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and delivering supplies, equipment, and products.
- Sort, remove, and dispose of trash and waste in designated containers.
- Steam-clean or hose down garbage containers in assigned areas.
- Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary work areas throughout the shift.
- Follow all company sanitation, hygiene, food safety, and workplace safety requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Requirements
- At least one year of relevant or equivalent experience preferred.
- Dependable, proactive, and well-organized.
- Works effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Capable of completing assigned tasks efficiently while meeting strict deadlines.
- Comfortable standing and working on your feet for extended periods.
- Willing to work in environments with varying temperatures.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and move supplies and equipment.
- Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
