About the Role
The Assistant Manager is a key holder and serves as the manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager. This role assists in managing store operations to meet or exceed service standards and achieve profitability goals, ensuring all teammates deliver exceptional service and meet guest expectations.
Responsibilities
- Schedule guest appointments for optimal technician utilization and timely service completion.
- Assist in achieving sales goals by recommending tire and service products and promotions.
- Address all guest needs including sales, service, complaints, and adjustments.
- Build guest relationships to maximize satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
- Assist technicians in communicating repair and service needs to guests.
- Ensure store cleanliness and maintenance to Monro standards.
- Assist with inventory management, including pulling tires and parts, and stocking.
- Provide direction and oversight to technicians and assist with services/repairs.
- Organize store workflow for efficient technician skill utilization.
- Understand and adhere to company policies, governmental standards, and safety procedures.
- Perform Store Manager functions as business needs dictate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years retail experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to influence and motivate a team to achieve goals.
- Ability to problem solve, manage inventory, merchandising, and customer service.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with teammates and guests.
- Complete all required Monro training within provided guidelines and timing.
- Possess a current valid driver’s license and have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
