About the Role
The Learning Experience - Hudson Yards is seeking an energetic and nurturing Lead Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. You'll create a structured and engaging classroom where children can explore, learn, and grow.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily routines and learning experiences in a Toddler classroom
- Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
- Create engaging activities through art, music, movement, sensory play, and exploration
- Support language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development
- Encourage independence and developing self-help skills
- Support meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions
- Maintain positive classroom guidance and consistent routines
- Observe children's development and maintain required documentation
- Build strong relationships with families
- Guide and collaborate with classroom support teachers
- Follow applicable New York City childcare licensing requirements
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education required
- Previous professional toddler or early childhood education experience strongly preferred
- Lead classroom experience preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Patient, energetic, nurturing, and dependable
- Must meet applicable New York City childcare requirements
