About the Role
The Chief Architect (CA) will be a technical Cisco Network Subject Matter Expert (SME), acting as a recognized technical thought leader with a broad understanding of solutions and deep expertise in core technical elements. This role involves bringing technical credibility to accounts, presenting solutions to customers, and providing Pre-Sales and go-to-market support to strategic accounts.
Responsibilities
- Partners with business leaders to deliver resources and services that support company objectives and align with Winning Together values.
- Provides deep subject matter expertise and the ability to complete tactical work.
- Offers technical marketing, thought leadership, and related support.
- Defines and delivers the Go to Market (GTM) strategy through relevant design documentation and proposals.
- Engages in key accounts to develop credibility and build technical solutions.
- Stays current on technical solutions for specific vendors.
- Engages with assigned vendors.
- Coordinates with Customer Acquisition Engineers (CAE) to build Statements of Work (SOW) for large-scale/complex projects.
- Creates in-depth technical design documentation, including SOW, Level of Effort (LOE), and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Provides internal training for new solutions advancement.
- Engages and works closely with key vendors.
- Embraces and supports Computacenter’s mission and core values.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of presales solutioning experience (prior delivery experience is a plus).
- Expert level certifications such as CCIE-R/S, CCIE or JNCIE and professional level security certifications are a plus.
- Experience designing & deploying complex architectures.
- Experience interacting with highly technical customer/vendor/peer engineers, engineering managers, and C-Level staff.
- Experience leading whiteboarding & design sessions.
- Technical presales experience.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- SME around discrete technologies (e.g., networks, systems, cloud, etc.).
- Passionate about Technology.
- Proficient presentation and Pre-Sales skills.
- Comfortable with public speaking (e.g., conferences, etc.).
- Comfortable leading design discussions.
- Deep expertise in vendors technologies.
- In-depth understanding of service lifecycle.
