About the Role
Portland Manor Apartments seeks a dedicated and responsive Lead Maintenance Technician to preserve the good condition and functionality of our 161-unit residential apartment community. This role involves a variety of maintenance tasks including painting, HVAC installations, and landscaping.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, schedule, and inspect work performed by maintenance staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop, including inventory management.
- Obtain bids for special projects.
- Collaborate with the property manager to maintain the supply budget.
- Perform general maintenance in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Assist in setting up ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems, and conduct repairs.
- Perform manual repairs such as fixing locks and replacing windows.
- Repair and troubleshoot appliances.
- Conduct general upkeep procedures.
- Fulfill on-call responsibilities as assigned by the property manager.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience as a maintenance technician.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
- Good physical condition and strength.
- HVAC Certification.
