About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on HR Business Partner for our Delivery Station (DS) in Shinagawa, Tokyo. This role is crucial for supporting business growth by partnering with DS leaders on organizational and talent decisions, viewing DS employees as customers. You will provide HR solutions in areas like organizational development, talent management, career development, and fostering organizational culture, collaborating with other HR teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage recruitment, performance evaluation, placement, and workforce reduction.
- Oversee attendance and labor environment management for DS employees.
- Identify organizational issues through dialogue with business leaders and HR data analysis.
- Implement strategic HR placement and talent development.
- Address employee relations issues, proposing solutions and collaborating with managers.
- Contribute to the DS Network nationwide through various projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of HR experience.
- Fluent Japanese language proficiency (reading, writing, and conversational).
- Business-level English proficiency.
- Experience with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in data collection and analysis.
- Ability to balance consistency and flexibility in HR policies.
- Tolerance for ambiguity, enjoyment of fast-paced and changing environments, and perseverance.
- Practical communication skills for interacting with various employee levels and departments.
- Attention to detail in communication and reporting.
- Experience managing direct reports.
- Experience working in a global or cross-cultural environment.
