About the Role
Join Greenberg Traurig's Marketing Team as a Practice Development Specialist. This role contributes to a broad range of practice-specific business development and marketing initiatives within the firm’s global marketing and business development team, working directly with members of the Real Estate marketing team.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Real Estate marketing team, practice leadership, attorneys, and marketing colleagues to develop and execute strategic marketing and business development initiatives for the Global Real Estate Department.
- Support business development plans aligned with department growth objectives, client priorities, market opportunities, and cross-selling initiatives across offices and practices.
- Monitor real estate industry trends, market developments, client sectors, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for attorney engagement, thought leadership, and client development.
- Develop, update, and manage marketing resources and practice materials, including practice descriptions, representative matters, experience databases, deal lists, and client-targeting resources.
- Coordinate and contribute to proposals, pitches, RFPs, capability statements, presentations, and other client-facing materials that highlight the firm’s real estate experience and differentiators.
- Support attorneys in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and relationship-expansion efforts with clients, prospects, and referral sources.
- Track and organize significant transactions, client successes, rankings submissions, awards opportunities, and related experience for use in marketing and business development initiatives.
- Coordinate practice group meetings and department calls, prepare agendas, capture action items, and monitor progress on strategic initiatives.
- Draft, edit, and distribute marketing communications, including client alerts, newsletters, legal updates, speaking engagement materials, award submissions, and other promotional content.
- Assist with planning and executing client events, conferences, sponsorships, charitable initiatives, and related collateral in collaboration with events, creative services, digital marketing, communications, research, and business development teams.
- Support strategic and ad hoc marketing and business development projects as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in marketing, business development, or professional services marketing.
- Law firm experience preferred.
- Experience supporting a real estate legal practice, commercial real estate business, or professional services organization strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of commercial real estate terminology, industry participants, and market dynamics preferred.
- High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Experience using firm-approved AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar platforms) to support professional and managerial work, applying judgment to validate outputs and maintain accountability for final deliverables.
- Models and promotes responsible AI use, including the adoption of emerging AI technologies, emphasizing privacy, confidentiality, and appropriate human oversight.
