About the Role
Warden is building trust infrastructure for AI systems through independent testing, standards, and certification. This role bridges both the B2B product marketing and industry standard marketing aspects of the company, focusing on shaping the market's understanding and adoption of AI assurance.
Responsibilities
- Own the Warden narrative, including messaging, language, and external communication strategy.
- Develop the messaging architecture for Warden Assured, translating technical standards into accessible language.
- Test and refine messaging with skeptical buyers, regulators, and candidates.
- Own the evolution of the Warden brand, including website refresh and revised brand identity.
- Support the Warden Assured coalition of nonprofit and advocacy partners.
- Recruit new partners into the coalition and provide value to existing partners.
- Manage the company's external presence across press, analysts, partners, and the industry.
- Support external voices through talks, op-eds, podcasts, and written commentary.
- Oversee customer marketing and onboarding processes.
- Manage event preparation, including webinars and supporting materials.
- Develop sales collateral, including decks, one-pagers, and battlecards.
- Oversee product launches, from planning through to promotion.
Requirements
- US work authorization required.
- Experience in communications and/or marketing roles for 8+ years.
- Experience selling to enterprise buyers and/or experience working in a nonprofit, standard and certification body, B Corp, or advocacy organization.
- Early in leadership career with experience working closely with a marketing lead, ready for the next step up.
- Thoughtful, strategic, organized thinker with high attention to detail.
- Strong writer and storyteller, capable of making abstract and technical concepts engaging.
- Understanding of movements and the distinct craft of persuading an industry to adopt a shared standard.
- Proactive and hands-on approach, comfortable with detailed execution.
- Comfortable growing into a scope before the title fully reflects it.
- Not looking for a demand generation or growth role.
- Does not require direct reports, a large budget, or an established brand to perform.
- Open to hybrid working with three days per week in Austin.
