About the Role
As a Senior Cost Manager at Linesight, you will work with experienced, diverse, and passionate teams, gaining vast industry experience. Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the tender/bid process, from documentation through analysis and reporting.
- Manage the change management process, including identifying, analyzing, approving, and implementing cost-affecting changes.
- Analyze tenders/bids to ensure client value for money.
- Assist in the preparation and agreement of final accounts, including handling claims to ensure client value.
- Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments.
- Oversee project spend by creating valuations and cost reports, and communicating variations.
- Support project management and decision-making through cost documentation and timely communication.
- Support the settlement of construction disputes/loss and expense claims with transparency.
- Foster employee performance and growth through mentorship and leadership.
Requirements
- Experience as a Senior Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor, ideally from a consultancy background.
- Experience in pre-contract cost management, budget control, cost planning, and preparing change forms.
- Knowledgeable on alternative construction materials.
- Chartered or on the path to becoming chartered.
- A degree or comparable experience in a project management or construction discipline.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, manage priorities and deadlines.
- Skilled in building strong relationships with team and clients.
