About the Role
Crusoe builds and commits significant data center capacity, power, GPU-hours, and other resources. This role will own the financial and economic thinking behind managing the gap between committed capacity and actual usage, determining safe monetization or reclamation strategies.
Responsibilities
- Identify and size opportunities where built or committed data center capacity, power, compute, or otherwise, isn't converting to revenue
- Partner with Capacity Planning, Product Management, and deal desk or legal to understand technical, contractual, and commercial constraints
- Translate probabilistic or technical models into financial terms, including expected value and cost of error
- Make and defend decisions on the level of risk to take in exploiting capacity gaps
- Build durable financial frameworks for proven opportunities while managing live decisions
- Field live decisions on opportunities already in motion
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in financial planning, corporate finance, or capital allocation, ideally in a capital-intensive industry
- Comfort with probabilistic thinking, distributions, and expected value
- Technical curiosity to quickly understand unfamiliar infrastructure concepts
- SQL proficiency for data extraction and validation
- Experience partnering with Product Management on pricing or product decisions
- Sufficient contract fluency to interpret customer agreements
- Comfort holding a position under pressure from stakeholders
