About the Role

The New Product Development (NPD) – Sr. Refrigeration Systems Engineer will play a key role in product support and strategic development, supporting HVAC cooling and heat pump equipment development, developing qualification plans for systems and components, and ensuring product requirement compliance and agency certification.

Responsibilities

Product cost productivity for Light Commercial and Commercial products.
Support the development of strategic customer options across multiple product lines.
Provide engineering support for field quality issues, offering effective solutions to improve product quality with competitive cost in a timely manner.
Provide factory support regarding product engineering and design fabricated in commercial manufacturing plants.
Support product ETL/UL audits through plants and maintain accuracy of agency files.
Maintain the accuracy of engineering information, update and manage the master Bill of Materials (BOM), drawings, and engineering specifications.
Lead and execute mid-to-high-complexity programs with minimal supervision.
Develop and coordinate engineering documents and release.
Provide daily direction to supporting Designers & Technicians.
Prepare presentations for Qualification Review Boards, demonstrating the use of Quality System deployment tools.
Collaborate with team members from Marketing, Design Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering.
Document process improvements as part of standard engineering work.
Identification of reliable and cost-effective purchased components required for new product development projects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field with 5+ years of experience working with specification, design, development, and manufacture of products in an engineering environment, OR Master’s degree in an Engineering field with 3+ years of experience working with specification, design, development, and manufacture of products in an engineering environment.
1+ years of experience working with refrigeration design, heat transfer, fan systems, structural analysis and/or electronic control systems.
Able and willing to travel up to 10% of the year domestically and to Mexico to support field sites and travel to manufacturing facilities.
Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the USA. No visa sponsoring available.
