About the Role
Bring your PR experience to a role where you'll advise senior leaders and help shape how people see retirement living. As our Communications Manager, you'll join Levande's award-winning Marketing team and take the lead across PR, media, reputation and crisis communications. You'll work closely with senior leaders, manage our external PR agency and shape how Levande shows up, from proactive storytelling and thought leadership to sensitive issues where clear, considered communication really matters.
Responsibilities
- Bring stories from Levande's residents and communities to a wider audience.
- Create proactive media and thought leadership opportunities.
- Lead communications through issues and crisis situations.
- Advise senior leaders and manage our external PR agency.
- Lead Levande's day-to-day PR and external communications activity.
- Manage proactive PR, media relations, thought leadership and external storytelling.
- Manage our external PR agency, including briefs, priorities and performance, and using media insights to improve results.
- Lead crisis communications planning and response, including key messages, escalation processes and coordination with senior leaders and our PR agency.
- Develop media materials, Q&As, spokesperson briefs and executive, internal and corporate communications that support engagement and business priorities.
- Provide trusted communications and reputation advice to executives and senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- 7+ years' experience across PR, communications, media relations or corporate affairs.
- Strong hands-on PR, media relations and proactive campaign experience.
- Experience managing sensitive issues or crisis communications.
- Confidence advising senior executives and managing PR agencies.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills across different audiences, plus practical AI capability and sound judgement when checking AI-assisted communications.
- Agency-side experience as an Account Director or Senior Account Manager looking to move in-house.
- In-house PR Manager or Senior Communications Advisor seeking broader ownership.
- Retirement living experience is helpful.
- Depth in PR and crisis communications matters more.
