About the Role
Great Performances is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Culinary Operations Manager to oversee the management and optimization of their catering software. This role involves leading a small team to ensure menus are accurately quantified using data from past events, maintaining the integrity of the catering database, and updating allergen information, menu item names, and quantification amounts. This is a salaried position that may require weekend hours during peak seasons, with a minimum of 50 hours weekly.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 2-3 members, providing guidance and support in menu quantification and data management.
- Oversee the accurate quantification of catering menus by analyzing data from past events to ensure optimal food preparation and minimize waste.
- Maintain and update the catering software database, including editing and verifying allergen information, standardizing and refining menu item names, and adjusting quantification amounts for dishes based on historical data and feedback.
- Collaborate with culinary and operations teams to align with event requirements.
- Generate reports and insights from catering software to support operational decision-making.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across the catering software platform.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues in collaboration with IT support as needed.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices for catering quantification and database management.
- Support additional responsibilities and projects as required during high-volume periods.
Requirements
- Proven experience in catering, food service management, or related fields.
- Familiarity with catering software or similar data management systems.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience managing small teams.
- Proficiency in data entry, analysis, and report generation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends during peak seasons.
- Ability to work with a large team of sales operations coordinators and accommodate requests as needed.
- Must be able to provide valid documentation that you are legally eligible to work in the United States.
